Frankfurt zoo is one of the most famous zoological gardens of the world, either for the amazing variety of animals species, and for the innovative method used by its director, Bernad Grzimek, in arranging the habitat of the animals and their interaction with visitors.
One of the most interesting areas is the Exotarium, where the original points of observation allow visitors to experience a direct contact with animals (for instance it is possible to admire the life underwater from an immersed cave provided with windows).
The so called “Casa Grzimek” is also remarkable, a place where the relationship between day and night is overturned, allowing the observation of nocturnal animals like bats. There are at least 500 species of animals in the zoo, ensuring a unique experience to visitors.
