Climate in Frankfurt is characterized by cold winters and sultry summers. During winter temperatures often go below zero and rarely rise above this rate, while in summer they can reach 20°, with a high percentage of humidity which worsens the perception of heat.
Rain storms are also frequent in summer.
From the climate point of view then, Frankfurt is all but a pleasant place, which means there is not a particular period recommendable for a visit, since in every period of the year, spring included, the risk of rain storms or sudden changes of temperature is very common.
Due to its prevailing economic nature, rather than touristic, Frankfurt can be better visited in summer, while in correspondence with congresses and international trade exhibitions, the search for an accommodation, especially in proximity of the Fair Building, can result very difficult.
